Longshan Temple in Quanzhou has a long historical background and strong faithful followers. As people in Quanzhou migrated to other countries and especially into neighboring Taiwan, faithful followers will come back to Longshan Temple for their prayer offerings.
The bright Yongli seven years (in 1653), a friendly Zen Master at the Peaceful Sea Longshan Temple initiate the founding of the first Longshan Temple in Taiwan Lugang away from Quanzhou. The temple was built with materials from Jinjiang, and the stone lion carving was replicas of the original of Quanzhou Longshan Temple created by skilled Jinjiang craftsmen.
