Xishiku Church, known as the North Church, is a remarkable fusion of Gothic and traditional Chinese architecture in Beijing. Built originally in 1703 and relocated in 1888, its towering Gothic structure features pointed arches and stained glass windows. Flanking the cathedral are two Chinese pavilions with yellow glazed tiles and imperial inscriptions by Emperor Qianlong. This stunning blend of East and West creates a unique cultural landmark. Inside, intricate details and artworks deepen its spiritual and historical significance. It remains one of Beijing’s largest and most iconic Catholic churches, symbolising centuries of cultural exchange.
