FAQs

  1. What are the check-in and check-out times at Marco Polo Xiamen?

    Our standard check-in time is from 3:00 PM, and our check-out time is before 12:00 PM (noon).

  2. Can I request an early check-in or late check-out, and is there a charge?

    Yes, this can be arranged subject to availability. Guests who check in before 8:00 a.m. will be charged an additional night's room rate, and those who check in between 8:00 and 12:00 a.m. will be charged an additional half day's room rate.An additional half-day charge will be applied for check-out between 14:00 and 18:00. For check-out after 18:00, an additional full-day charge will be applied.

  3. What is the minimum age to check in as the primary guest at Marco Polo Xiamen?

    Guests aged 16 and over may check in with their own valid ID. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  4. What identification documents are required at check-in?

    We accept the following valid identification: for Mainland Chinese residents, a National ID card; for residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, a valid travel permit; and for foreign nationals, a valid passport.

  5. Can a third party check in on behalf of the guest?

    No, third parties cannot check in on a guest’s behalf. For security and privacy, the registered guest must be present with a valid ID for the booking. If you need to arrange something in advance, please contact our Reservations or Front Desk team for assistance.

  6. Does Marco Polo Xiamen offer mobile check-in or pre-arrival checkin?

    We do not currently offer mobile or pre-arrival check-in. We look forward to welcoming you in person at our Front Desk, where our team will provide an efficient and personable check-in experience.

  7. What should I do if I arrive before the official check-in time?

    If you arrive before 3:00 PM, we will do our utmost to arrange a room for you if one is available. If not, you are welcome to complete the registration, store your luggage with our concierge, and we will notify you as soon as your room is ready.

  8. If my flight departs late in the evening, can I extend my checkout?

    Yes, a late checkout after 6:00 PM is subject to a full-day room charge. Alternatively, you are welcome to store your luggage with our Concierge and relax in our Lobby Lounge before your departure.
